This recipe is amazing! I served it at a party and everyone raved about it. I didn't want to buy corn syrup and I ran out of regular sugar for the sauce haha. So I used brown sugar for the sauce, in that order. Repeat layers two more times and top with crushed peppermint candies. I've been needing to add to my Christmas dessert repertoire and I think I've found a few good recipes to try!Cool cake or brownies and cut into 1 to 2 inch cubes. Add milk to dry pudding mix in medium bowl. Beat until pudding starts to thicken. Stir peppermint extract into pudding. Mix a little red food coloring into all but about a fourth of the whipped topping until it turns light pink. Refrigerate the remaining white whipped topping. In a clear glass bowl or trifle dish add half of the cake cubes, the peppermint was hands down my fave. I might have finished off that carton after sharing of course. 😉
