Put it all in the top of a dbl boiler and simmer for 1 1/2 hr. When about an inch of milk remains on the top I stir in 1/4 C. sugar beaten with 1 egg. Cook a bit more and add the vanilla and a tablespoon of butter.........serve warm.There are those desserts that are totally stunning so beautiful you almost don't want to eat them. Then there are the sweets that aren't going to win a beauty pageant anytime soon (or ever). This mug rice pudding isn't the prettiest of desserts, bundle the kids and kiss their faces and deliver them through the snow to the bus stop and all this before 8:00 A.M. You deserve a medal for another Mom-of-the-Year morning. If no medal at the very least a cup of coffee and a sweet treat.

Even easier then the other risotto rice pudding recipe I usually make. I grated some orange rind along with squeezed fresh orange juice and added raisins. I boiled the juice and raisins together and put everything together once I put the pudding in a nice big bowl. It gives it's a nice orange taste in the end.
