I used store bought pectin. You can also add pomegranate juice to any fruit to make a pectin-free jam.     FALL, every fall.I added 1 cup sugar and the whole packet of pectin powder and brought to a roaring boil. I was careful not to burn the mix but it did not set. Any ideas why??, that's bubbily
