I have been making it for years with one change. I make extra of the nut sugar mixture and sprinkle it on the top ( which becomes the bottom) and it is my favorite part of the cake. I just dust the top with powdered sugar.
Ingredients, I'd try coconut flour instead (make sure to adjust the quantity though!)Using food processor, and high quality cream sherry!!I made this in a 6″ small bundt cake pan to be a bit more fancy for an art opening and it was beautiful. I baked it for about 50 minutes., not over or under.
