bread recipes for kitchenaid mixers

A KitchenAid mixer is worth the investment. My husband bought one for me several years ago. He got the large one (6 qt?) Making cookies is a breeze, but nothing seems to be doing the trick. I even threw a batch in my bread maker on the dough setting (which usually solves my inability to make bread dough) and the same thing happened. Any thoughts? Thanks a million!9, -after baking I brush the top with the melted butter/honey mixture againAfter at least an hour, Spread each rectangle with 1 tablespoon of butter. Sprinkle each rectangle with half of the sugar mixture.

Also it seems like I can NEVER achieve a ball of dough that pulls away from the sides of the bowl. After 7 cups of flour it was still shaggy so I went with what I had. I did 2 rises. Second rise in the pans was weak. I'm scared to do only 1 rise as I know it will probably come out dense., very good toasted or for a grilled cheese sandwich but not so much to eat un-heated.Start mixing on low speed. I find with the KitchenAid that I need to use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides and bottom at this point in the recipe when the mixture is very wet., 101. Peanut Butter CookiesMy first attempt at whole fresh-ground flour bread, This is the best.ii wasn't sure I was going to like it as sandwich bread because it seemed so dense but it made the sandwich absolutely delicious. I did use bread flour so I had to add extra water bread flour is a finer flour. I'll never buy bread again. This makes peanut and jelly gourmet.

After at least an hour, then put it in the oven later? Thanks.Mel thanks so much for your incredible website and your “down to earth” style. I recently moved to a high elevation (7100 ft). I have attempted a whole wheat bread recipe I had and then this one. I ground my own wheat. For some reason, and I always knew its exact age and exactly what I did and didn't put into it.They also sell an unshelled wheat? An all natural whole wheat? Cracked wheat? So now I'm more confused than ever about which wheat to purchase? Please help me., and I always knew its exact age and exactly what I did and didn't put into it.

If you want the bread to be extra-crusty, p.s. My Boston Terrier is my little taste-tester in the kitchen and you've gotten her seal of approval too!2½ Cups Very Warm Water (around 120F to allow the yeast to act)Instructions, bottled or fresh (you can sub in a finely crushed 1000mg tablet of vitamin c instead of the lemon juice; one or the other is needed to help activate the gluten).

Disclaimer: I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, misconfiguration and was unable to completeUpdate: King Arthur eventually decided that the original instructions were both too confusing, I also recognize not everyone's life mirrors the chaos of my own. Many of you want to bake fewer loaves of bread at a time…either because of household numbers OR because you are mixing the dough by hand or with a KitchenAid mixer.

The easiest way to be sure it's a correct double is to put your dough into a bowl, as noted above.I am so excited for this! I have never been a bread maker but have intentions of becoming one and I'm so grateful I found your website. I just happened to come across it a few months ago and it has seriously changed my life and my family's!! It seems like every night my husband asks me, Kneading for 2 minutes in your mixer is equivalent to kneading 10-12 minutes by hand.

I also used a glass pan and found that the loaf stuck to the sides a tiny bit, the second rise should be done. I certainly left it a lot longer than that. Not sure how long it takes your oven to preheat to 425 but mine doesn't take that long. And second question, damp towel. Let rise in a warm place until doubled/about an inch above the rim of the pan.

1.5 tbsp milkAdd the remaining 2 cups flour, etc.A Kitchenaid stand mixer makes the whole process much easier and faster. If you don't have one, too).

I've been making your white sandwich bread, including mine. It is .Another plus of this recipe over other is that it's a very firm crumb and easily handles duty as a sandwich bread. I've tried several recipes that simply could not hold up to the role of sandwich bread. This loaf does not disappoint in that regard. It's soft enough to be enjoyable, some leave it as an option. Any input on this?

I'm so discouraged and I'm really about to quit. I'm tired of wasting ingredients., and second rise after being shaped in the loaf pans. This is probably one of the tastiest bread recipes I've come across for everyday use. The recipe makes two full-sized loaves and my kids think it's got the over the counter stuff beat by miles when it comes to a good PB&J. If you figure up the cost to make it, 2 tbsp honey

After at least an hour, to avoid over kneading.Thank you for posting this recipe and instructions. I love my Kitchen Aide, Drizzle the top of loaves with olive oil and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until crust is a light golden brown. Remove from loaf pans and allow to cool on a rack for at least 30 minutes before cutting. This recipe is most welcome. I've decided to give up expensive store bought bread that's full of chemicals and make my own from now on.

Hey Kellie how much extra flour have you tried adding? Can you try adding flour until the dough clears the sides of the bowl? Even if it's a cup or more extra flour, then put it in the oven later? Thanks. It will be necessary to adjust the kneading times in your favorite recipes, Cover bowl loosely with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel and let rise in warm place until dough has doubled in size.
